a DIVX player will appear and the video will start playing in it.
No player?
you need to install the divx player (PC, MAC) to play this
Do Not Update to the latest version of the DIVX player:
divx has recently pushed a new update of their divx player, the divx plus web player 2.0. unfortunatly, the new player is causing some problems when streaming files from Megaupload or 2shared in the browser. Also the new player does not work correctly with the code that was used to show the download progress and size, leaving the user in the dark, not really knowing if its working and be warned that closing the tab during that "connecting" period will crash the browser.
altough deprived of information on the download progress and having to wait through a long mysterious "connecting" period, you will be able to play Megaupload files with the new divx plus web player 2.0, but not 2shared (or if 2shared works then it just has too long "connecting" period).
it is recommended for the moment to stick to the older version of the divx player or to go back to it if you have already updated. get it here => PC, MAC
No Sound?
some divx videos need the AC3 sound filter for the sound to work
You can also use this to create links by appending the megaupload link after http://megaallday.com/mu?link=
this system can also be used as a bookmark. instead of copying the bookmarklet and pasting it in the address bar of the megaupload page when the download is ready, you can just bookmark the bookmarklet and use it on any megaupload page by hitting it in your bookmarks from the megavideo page to stream a video from megaupload without having to come back to this page to grab the bookmarklet each time. But note that this bookmarket makes the file run in a divx player so it can only play files that would play in a divx player such as avi and divx video formats.
download limit exceeded?
usually when you use the megaupload-streamer bookmarklet it is supposed to work everytime. usually the player does a few attempts at loading the vid before it starts. but if it keeps trying attempt after attempt very fast and doesnt start and you have already been watching a bunch of megaupload videos today (or youre sharing your ip with other ppl who are also downloading from megaupload at the moment or not long ago). it could be because you have exceeded your donwload limit. (if you have uploaded to the latest divx player, having your download limit exceeded will cause the player to stay on connecting forever, when if it works it will stay on connecting for a long time, kind of hard to tell i know thats why its best to not update your divx)
to verify that just click the "regular download" link and see if it does give you the file or if it says "download limit exceeded".
if you have indeed exceeded your download limit, instead of waiting the 40-something minutes to keep watching more, use the megavideo link with one of the methods of megavideo time limit bypass currently available if the video has a megavideo link. you could also just change your ip to circumvent the download limit, but in my experience most proxies are too slow to stream files as big as megaupload avi movies online, though that should be a good solution if it is possible for you to "Really Change your IP".
